A slip up

January 30th, 2009 at 04:02 pm

Well, I was doing very good until I wasn't. I hate to write this down but I actually charged something to my capital one card. I felt so free and I go an charge something to it. Oh, I could kick myself. I charged an mp3 player and am so angry I haven't even taken it out of the box. Its hidden away in one of my drawers. My uncle kept pushing me to get it before it stopped being on sale and I charged it. UUUURRRRRGGGGGG!!!! Well, I promised myself that I'm not even gonna look at it until I pay it off. Stupid choices. I haven't even writen a blog about it because I'm so embarrased. Too bad I can't return it.

My thoughts as well. Return it. Save and pay cash. There will ALWAYS be another sale. Took me awhile to figure that one out, but there always is.

I'm on the same thought. Return it. Tell them it was a gift for someone, but they already bought themselves an IPOD and now you want to return this unopened one. They should take it back. With businesses losing money, they are going to keep putting things on sale to lure in customers.

I can't return the item for full price. I'll still have to pay half of it if I return it. Might as well just keep it then pay half of something I don't own.

If it was on sale she probably can't return it. I agree, punish yourself by not opening it until you can pay the card off again.

do you have anything you can sell to pay for it? i read someone elses blog once where if they bought something new, they had to sell something old. it kept their house clutter free and made them think about their purchases.

sometimes these things happen, regardless. you should see my cc bill right now. (!!!) it's not actually overdue yet, but it's only the first week into the cycle and there's already $900 owing on it. (ok, so $500 of that is for solicitors fees...)

Think about why you bought it. If you bought it because your uncle convinced you to do it, by all means figure out a way how you would handle it the next time.

However if you bought it also because you could use an MP3 player, buying it and not using it kinda means you're blowing money twice.
